1.The production process is different
Carbon steel pipe are made by forming capillary tubes through perforated ingot or solid round steel and then hot rolled, cold rolled, or cold drawn.
Stainless steel pipe can be divided into equal section pipe and variable section pipe according to the shape of the vertical section. Variable section tube has conical tube, step tube, periodic section tube and so on.
2.Different nature
1)Carbon steel pipe: it is perforated by ingot or solid round steel to form capillary, and then hot rolled, cold rolled or cold drawn.
2)Stainless steel pipe: it is a hollow long round steel.
3.Corrosion and wear resistance
Stainless steel refers to the alloy resistant to weak corrosive media (such as air, steam and water) and chemical corrosive media (such as acid, alkali and salt). The key to this effect is the addition of chromium, the stainless steel plate element. When the content of chromium element is more than 12%, the oxide film is formed on the surface of stainless steel, and the common name passivation film is produced. The oxide film is not soluble in a medium, which plays a high isolation role and has high corrosion resistance.
Carbon steel refers to the carbon content of less than 2.11% iron carbon alloy, also known as carbon steel. It is much harder than stainless steel, but it weighs more and is less plastic, and it is often "too hard and easy to fold" and rust easily.
4.Different application
The raw material of carbon steel pipe is round pipe blank. The circular tube billet is cut by a cutter to form a billet about 1 meter in length, which is then sent to a furnace and heated by a conveyor belt. The blank is fed into a furnace and heated at a temperature of about 1200 degrees Celsius.
Stainless steel pipe is a kind of hollow long round steel, widely used in petroleum, chemical, medical, food, light industry, mechanical instruments and other industrial pipelines and mechanical structure components.
5.Different characteristics
1)Carbon steel pipe: Carbon steel pipe is divided into hot rolled and cold rolled (drawn) steel pipe. Hot rolled carbon steel pipe is divided into ordinary steel pipe, medium and low pressure boiler steel pipe, high pressure boiler steel pipe, alloy steel pipe, stainless steel pipe, petroleum cracking pipe, geological pipe and other steel pipe.
2)Stainless steel tube: Brinell hardness is the most widely used stainless steel tube standard. Indentation diameter is often used to represent the hardness of the material, intuitive and convenient. However, it does not apply to steel tubes made of stiffer or thinner steel.
